Tribute to Inez Andrews: In Music, Photos and Videos

The Chicago Tribune says that Inez Andrews, who passed away on Dec. 19, was the last of her kind. Inez was raised in the Church of God in Christ in Birmingham, sang with the Carter Choral Ensemble and Dorothy Love Coates & the Original Gospel Harmonettes before being asked to sing with the famed Caravans by the king of gospel, James Cleveland.

Many artists from the golden age of gospel music have passed away, leaving behind a legacy for others to follow. WE remember the Songbird with these videos and songs that was dear to her fans. Listen, watch, then pass along this post to share the legacy of Birmingham gospel talent with others.
