The Alabama’s People Choice Awards is an annual event that awards gospel artists of their achievements. It was held this year at the Bessemer Civic Center. Winners this year include: Charles Diggings (Male Vocalist Of The Year), ADonna Bowen- Williams (Female Vocalist of the Year) Jasmine Marie Williams (Contemporary Artist of the Year), UAB Gospel Choir (Best College Choir), The Acoff Family (Best Quartet Gospel CD), Kenneth Williams (CD of the Year), Ronald Rawls (Producer of the Year), Mark Jones (Instrumentalist of the Year), Connye Bryant (Announcer of the Year), and Dr. Prince Yelder (Legends Award).
