UAB Gospel Choir’s latest release climbs to #1 on neo-soul chart

The UAB Gospel Choir’s latest release Nu Soul City reached the #1 spot on the Amazon.com mp3 chart, in the neo-soul category today. The project features new music, along with re-makes of UAB Gospel Choir favorites (Thank You, Amen). A standout on the project is a remake of the classic Emotions’ song Don’t Ask My Neighbor (Just Ask My Savior). Nu Soul City is available in stores and for download on iTunes, Amazon.com and CDBaby.

Kevin P. Turner has been the choir’s director for nearly 20 years. He executive produced the project, Clinton Green and Timothy George served as the album’s producers.  The release is being distributed by MDI Distribution on the UAB Gospel Music Group record label.
