Dr. Henry Panion III, acclaimed composer, conductor, and professor has once again made history—this time as the driving force behind a double win at the 46th Annual Telly Awards. Under his visionary leadership, A Symphony Celebration: The Blind Boys of Alabama with Dr. Henry Panion III earned 14 Telly Awards, including two Gold, recognizing excellence in television and video production.
The award-winning concert film, produced by Audiostate 55 Entertainment, also received two Emmy nominations. Viewers have been captivated by Dr. Panion’s signature ability to fuse gospel music with symphonic arrangements. Filmed at Birmingham’s Alys Stephens Center, the production featured the iconic Blind Boys of Alabama performing timeless gospel selections alongside a full symphony orchestra, all orchestrated and conducted by Dr. Panion.
