Birmingham Youth & Young Adult Fellowship Choir Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Free Back-to-School Concert

The Birmingham Youth & Young Adult Fellowship Choir is set to celebrate its 10th Anniversary with a special community concert and back-to-school benefit on Saturday, July 20, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. The event will take place at the historic Sixteenth Street Baptist Church, located at 1530 Sixth Avenue North in Birmingham, Alabama, under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Arthur Price Jr.

Directed by Ahkeem R. Lee, the choir has become a vibrant force in Birmingham’s gospel music community, bringing together young voices from across the region to uplift and inspire through song. This milestone celebration promises an afternoon filled with powerful worship, community fellowship, and heartfelt music honoring the legacy and future of youth ministry through gospel.

The concert is free and open to the public, with a special focus on giving back to local families. Free school supplies will be distributed to K-12 students in attendance (children must be present to receive supplies), helping prepare them for a successful academic year.

The event will be hosted by Dr. Michael McClure Sr., with special guest appearances by Dr. Timothy Woods Sr. and gospel vocalist Myesha Underwood, adding star power and spiritual depth to the celebration.
