Birmingham gospel favorite Lecresia Campbell passes away

One of Birmingham’s favorite gospel artists have passed away. Gospel artist Lecresia Campbell was known to be a part of local gospel events, including City Stages in 2004, backed by E. Tony Gaines & VIP. She also recorded with the Miles College Gospel Choir. Following a stroke in August, she suffered a pulmonary embolism after a stint in a rehabilitation program.
