New Pilgrim Baptist Church unveils remodeled sanctuary under Pastor Marcus Jerkins’ leadership

New Pilgrim Baptist Church recently unveiled its remodeled sanctuary, marking another step in the vision of Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Marcus Jerkins for the historic Birmingham congregation.

The church held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Sept. 20 for the newly renovated worship space. The updated sanctuary features new seating, a redesigned platform and worship area, mounted video screens and other interior improvements.

New Pilgrim describes its current vision as being “on the M.O.V.E.” — Magnify God, Obey God’s Commandments, Value All People and Evangelize the World.
