Asphyxiating Worship is a song that speaks directly to God. It’s words “Lord we need your sweet love in this place…Lord we yearn for your peace, just pour it down like rain..” encourage those in a congregation or in private time to mentally take part in the worship experience.
The voice behind this song is Birmingham vocalist Netra. She is not new to gospel music. During the UAB Gospel Choir’s early days, she was a major part. Her voice can be heard on their Live project singing Where Shall I Go and Just Shall Live By Faith. She was also a part of Ben Tankard & Tribe of Benjamin, recording many tracks with that group.
With the heartfelt voice and lyrics by Dave Young the track is a great way to begin a worship celebration. Production is by Micah Braxton, Raymond Lacey and Chris Bell. Listen below and let us know what you think!
