Birmingham gospel artist Natalie Vette Johnson passed away after a brief illness, as announced by her son, May 23.
Many remember her for heading the community choir, United Praise Ensemble as Natalie Flanigan. Family and friends posted an outpouring of condolences and memories online.
During her service at Pratt City’s Bethel Baptist Church, music ministry members showed their support in song, and doves were released in her memory during the graveside service.
