Impact Movement: Under new management

Impact has come a long way. The leadership was a part of Birmingham’s GMWA Youth Choir and Chosen Generation during the 2000s. In 2010, Mike Mays and Jeremy Hill founded Impact and recently began being managed by a firm based in Florida.

Jenard Carpenter says that the group connected with him in May of 2011 and notes that he was very impressed when he first heard the choir. “They carry that old school church choir feel, flavor. They are very different.,” says Carpenter.  He operates CHC Worship Consulting Group, a firm that manages Christian artists.

Carpenter says that he is now handling the booking and marketing of the group. Some of the groups that his firm manages are Javis Mays N Restoration, Orlando, FL and  Jay Williams & Total Praise, Tallahassee, FL.

Impact Movement has traveled around the Southeast recently, ministering and spreading the word about the group. He says that he is planning on touring them in the Mid-west and in California.

Carpenter has high hopes for the group, he says, “We are interested in showcasing them at Stellar Award events and moving toward recording in two years.”
