History Made – Pastor Mike Jr. is Stellar Awards’ Artist of the Year
Alabama history was made this weekend. Pastor Mike Jr. (Michael McClure Jr.) won three Stellar Awards in Nashville Sunday night. McClure was nominated in seven categories and won:
- Artist of the year
- Urban/inspirational single or performance of the year – “I Got It”
- Rap/hip hop gospel album of the year – “Big: Freedom Sessions”

Last year, he won two Stellars. The 36th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards, will air on BET on Sunday, August 1st, at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT. Gospel legend Tye Tribbett and Jekalyn Carr are hosting.
