Consumers are still buying CDs in gospel music at a high rate

This may catch some people by surprise.  The Gospel Music Association reported in 2011 that 4 out of 5 Christian album sales were physical CDs but NOT downloads. What does this mean?

This means that eventhough it may be easier to upload your project to iTunes, CDBaby.com or Amazon.com, the gospel music audience wants to physically see and touch your product. Online sales are major, but having your project available following a performance is crucial for sales.

It is important to note that digital sales in Christian music have grown over 20% the past two years.

The point: Make your project available online, but keep pressing those CDs.
